New Short Story Series

I recently launched a new short‑story series called The Liminal Hour: a quick read anthology series. Predictably, the grammar purists have already shown up to inform me that quick read should technically be quick‑read, since it’s a compound adjective. And yes—they’re right. But here’s the thing: Amazon’s algorithm doesn’t care about grammatical correctness. It cares about searchability.

If I hyphenate it, Amazon treats quick‑read as a single, exact-match term. Without the hyphen, the algorithm picks up quick, quick read, quick series, quick anthology, and a whole constellation of related searches. In other words, dropping the hyphen dramatically increases discoverability. Sometimes you bend the grammar rules so the algorithm bends in your favor.

I’m releasing a brand‑new story every Friday on Amazon as part of The Liminal Hour: a quick read anthology series. Each episode will be available on Kindle Unlimited for a limited time, so if you’re a KU subscriber, make sure you grab them while they’re live. Fresh stories, fast reads, and an extra dose of the uncanny every week.

If you’re a frequent visitor, you may have noticed that several of my books are no longer available. I’ve temporarily pulled some titles to make updates and improvements, and others have been re‑released under one of my alternate pen names. This is all part of keeping my catalog clean and discoverable.

Because I write across multiple genres, mixing everything under one name tends to confuse Amazon’s algorithm—and readers. To keep things clear, I publish my romance titles under a separate pseudonym while speculative fiction remains under my primary author identity.
