Hello and welcome to my new website! I’m thrilled to share my passion for writing with you through this platform. This first post is all about introducing myself, my writing, and what you can expect from this space.

Who I Am

I’m Scott McMillan, a repressed writer caught up by life and the necessity of making a living as an engineer. All my life, I have loved creating art: woodwork, art pieces, and writing. Writing was less tangible and had such a long lead time for satisfaction that it always took a back seat. I found a lot of journal entries with story ideas and decided to start making them a reality given the breadth of knowledge and experiences I have to share compared to when I was much younger and just thought I knew more. 

What I Write

My work spans techno-thrillers, urban fiction, science fiction, epic fantasy, and romance under a separate pseudonym. Whether it’s weaving fictional worlds, reflecting on life’s moments, or diving into relationships, I aim to create pieces that resonate and inspire. You’ll find a mix of my writing process, deleted scenes I still love that didn't fit, and answers to questions on this site.

Why This Website?

This website is my creative hub—a place to showcase my portfolio, share new work, and connect with you, my readers. I’ll be posting every couple weeks, more or less based on activity, about my writing process, upcoming projects, and whatever else comes to mind that others may enjoy reading. My goal is to build a community where we can explore the art of writing together.
